As we all know, the cost and crashworthiness of vehicles and the driver’s record as well as safety habits strongly affects the cost of auto insurance. Sadly, 42,636 people died in motor vehicle crashes in 2004 while 2,788,000 people were injured in these kinds of crashes. There was $230.6 billion in an economic impact in the year 2000. Insurers fully support safe driving initiatives. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety was specifically created for crashworthiness testing. This insurance industry was created in 1969.

Analysis is still being developed by experts regarding statistics about auto crashes. There are ways to avoid such crashes, and although many people avoid these tips, usually because they are in a rush, you can do otherwise. In order to prevent auto crashes, wearing your seat-belt, purchasing insurance, watching the road, driving under the speed limit, and simply being a careful driver will prevent crashes. Usually, people speed because they are late to somewhere, or to meet someone. What they don’t understand is that if they do speed and avoid being careful, they probably won’t live to see tomorrow.
