Why are Hispanics more likely to be getting into motor-vehicle crashes than others?

According to statistics, American Hispanics who ride motor vehicles get into crashes constantly among children to middle aged people. Many Hispanic children go home alone or together without supervision in America. And the traffic is everywhere. According statistics, Hispanic children have more chances to die in car crashes than children from other origins.

In order to prevent that problem, children are supposed to be supervised since many of them, especially children who are under 10 years old, may have great difficulties of crossing the roads by themselves especially on the intersection area.

Since Latino immigration is the recent ones, it should be warned more about motor vehicle crashes, and be more aware about safety rules on the roads since 63% Hispanic population in America forget to put on seat belts. Latino immigration is recent one nevertheless they live in US land and in 10 years grew their population by 57.9%.

By 2050 Latino population may be increased at the speed rate which will be resulted to be the largest minority group in the country. But if most of them continue to disregard safety rules while driving or crossing the streets, the accidents and crashes will be increasing.

The reason why there are so many Hispanics may die from motor vehicle crashes is because their cars are not considered to be safe since they may be too old to drive or their seat belts may be out of use. Many of them can not afford to buy newer cars because they do not have enough resources to afford it. But those who can, is less likely to be involved in crash accidents.

Another factor of motor vehicle crashes among Hispanic people may be that many Hispanic families are large and can not afford to but more than one car. Those who have many children put their kids at risk for putting them in their old cars.

Safety rules indicate that children are supposed to be seat belted in the car but with many children, in a small car, it is very unlikely that all children will have that opportunity to be seat belted. Eventually, Hispanic parents, this way, put their kids more at risk in case if anything happens.

Those mothers who keep their kids on their laps in the car, puts also a child at risk to be hurt if anything happens. Many Hispanic male drivers prefer pick-up trucks over the regular car. Those trucks consider to be even more dangerous since small trucks have only two safety belts and for someone to sit in the back of the truck according to safety rules is considered to be unsafe.

To have only one child-safety-seat is definitively not enough for Hispanic parents if they tend to have more than one kid.
