Everyone knows that losing weight and getting into shape means becoming healthier. Everyone is also aware of the fact that the healthier you are, the lower your health insurance bills. However, one of the most difficult ways to get healthier is to lose weight. There are countless amounts of diets and exercise routines that people have tried.   • Steadily and gradually, make sure that you add a serving of fruits and vegetables to your daily food.
  • Unless you want to super-size your clothes, make sure that you do not super-size your food portions.
  • Make sure that when eating, you are not on a rush. Take time to eat and enjoy food.
  • Start eating a big healthy in order to eat fewer calories throughout the day.
  • Make sure that half of your plate is filled with either fruit and/or vegetables along with your regular meal.
  • If you're eating out, make sure that you eat half and bag the rest.
  • When dining out, instead of having one dessert individually, share it with someone.
  • Instead of a dinner plate, use a salad plate.
  • Track your success by keeping a food journal.
  • Instead of mayo, use mustard.
  • Eat at home.
  • Take lunch to work.
  • Change from whole milk to 1% percent milk. By doing that alone, you will lose 5 pounds per year.
  • Limit alcohol as much as you can.
  • Replace juice with water.
