Businesses trying to do their Part with the Health Insurance Crisis

Small businesses are trying to do all that they can to help employees get past the health insurance crisis unscathed. But with that being said, they can only do so much. When it comes down to it, many small businesses have given up after heroic efforts because the cost of group health insurance is simply too much for them to handle.

There are three types of small businesses when it comes to the way that they deal with health insurance:

1. Businesses that offer 100 percent coverage to their employees through a group policy. This means that the company pays for every last dime associated with each employee's policy. As you can imagine, this is becoming less common as the months go by.
2. Some companies have found that they can only afford to pay for some of their employees' health insurance costs. If this is the case, the company pays a certain percentage and then asks the employee for the rest. While this may not sound great from an employee's point of view, it is better than nothing.
3. The last group consists of those companies who can no longer afford to offer any coverage to employees. Unfortunately, more and more companies are doing away with health insurance coverage altogether. This is one sure way for them to save thousands of dollars each month. But with that being said, it is also a sure way to send some employees packing.

Many small businesses are making a big effort when it comes to helping employees deal with the high cost of health insurance. No matter who you work for, it is safe to say that your employer fits into one of the three groups above. Hopefully, you either receive all of your health insurance for free, or at the most have to pay a certain percentage of the premium.
