Can the Next President save the Health Insurance Industry?
One of the big questions on the mind of voters is whether or not the next president can save the health insurance industry. As most people know, this is a large problem that is burdening the United States in a number of different ways. After all, there is no denying the 47 million people who do not have insurance. This is a number that the next president will not be able to run away from. With that being said, will he or she be able to do anything about it? Or are all the candidates blowing smoke in order to get into the White House?
It is safe to say that the next president will try to make major changes to the health insurance industry from day one. This is not to say that change will be seen early on, but the wheels will be in motion. This holds true no matter who wins the election, Republican or Democrat. There is enough room for improvement that any change will be greatly received by those who are having a tough time dealing with the current state of the health insurance industry.
While it is safe to say that the next president will make changes, the bigger question is which one has the best ideas. Upon looking at each candidate and their thoughts, it is easy to see how different each one is. Hillary Clinton is not backing down from saying that universal healthcare is the best option. Is she right? This is a matter of opinion. Of course, Republican front runner John McCain has never entertained the thought of universal care. He would much rather offer tax breaks as a way of making the cost of insurance more affordable to the masses.
The next president will definitely look into making changes. The ones that are made will be greatly determined by who wins the election in November. From then on, the country will have its eyes on the health insurance industry; waiting to see what changes take place.
