It's Not Time to Lose Health Insurance Coverage

Many people think that now is the time to cut back on monthly expenses. And they are definitely right. That being said, you need to be very careful about what you are cutting back on. In other words, there are some expenses that you can afford to get rid of and others that you need to keep in the fold. One that you don't want to cut out altogether is health insurance. Even though you may be paying a lot of money for health insurance coverage this is something you need. It may not be required by law, but if you lose this type of coverage it is a mistake you will regret soon enough.

It is very easy to think that getting rid of health insurance would be a good thing. After all, this may allow you to save several hundred dollars per month. This is particularly true if you are older and pay for your own health insurance coverage. But again, this is not an expense that you can afford to get rid of. If you do, and you end up seeking medical treatment, you will learn in the end that you spent more money anyway.

Don't get caught without health insurance no matter what your financial situation looks like. It is not a good idea to cut this expense out of your budget even if money is tight. There are ways to save on health insurance and if you want to cut back on how much you pay there is nothing wrong with that. But before you get rid of your health insurance policy altogether make sure you now realize that this is a big mistake.
