Who are you going to vote for in the upcoming presidential election? If you are like millions of Americans, you are going to migrate towards the candidate with the best health insurance plan for the future. The question is: which candidate is that? Many people agree that both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are on the right track by wanting to bring forth some sort of universal health care plan. While only one of these candidates can win the Democratic nomination, it is safe to say that no matter which one it is, they will be discussing universal health care in the months to come.
What are the benefits of universal health care? First and foremost, this will give every American the chance to have a health insurance policy. Obviously, if this plan were to work it would solve a major issue in the United States: that being the more than 47 million people who do not have health insurance.
Clinton is in favor of universal health care for every American. She believes that it is important to make it mandatory for everybody to have health insurance and by offering universal coverage that this is more than possible.
Obama, on the other hand, seems to believe that lower prices will make it easier for more people to purchase health insurance. With that being said, he has discussed universal health care in some depth; more specifically for children.
The Republican nominee, John McCain, does not feel that a universal system is the best option for the United States. Many people believe that this will hurt his campaign. But of course, this is only the case if Clinton or Obama does a good job making it clear that universal health care is the answer.
Overall, there is no denying that many Americans will be voting for universal health care in November.
